Bulgakov’s “Master and Margarita” is my favourite book, along with Dostoevsky’s “The Idiot”, and the idea of illustrating it has been in my mind for ages.
I recently got back to the novel and decided that the time had come, at last, to start with my project. The idea is to illustrate each chapter of the book, incluing the epilogue, plus two panels that would make the “front” and “back” covers of the book, in case a publisher ever gets interested in printing the whole thing.
In any case, my aim is to pay a personal tribute to a masterpiece and to the memory of its author.
Technically speaking, I will do a total of 35 engraved panels, all handmade and hand-printed. Considering the magnitude of the project, the run of the engravings is likely to be very limited (I think that I will manage to print no more than 5 copies of each illustration) and I really can’t say when everything will be finished for good.
I’ll try to keep this blog as much updated as possible and I’ll upload here all the illustrations, one at a time, as soon as finished.
Pokà!

¡Muy bueno! Las ilustraciones destilan mucho estilo y técnica. Estás consiguiendo que vuelva a revivir las imágenes que el libro me generó.
¿Para cuando una expo?
